This transformation was so much fun to create. I was nervous starting it because geometric and black and white and all that is not necessarily my personal style. However, after I had it all put together I felt like redecorating my house just so I could keep it! :) I love this make-over!!!
The before shade was old, old, old. And whatever fabric that was on it, was glued to the whole shade. It definitely took some work to get it all off without destroying the structure of the shade.
The lamp base.... Well, as much as I loved that beautiful mauve color - it had to go! I knew I wanted something super bright and shiny to add a pop of color so why not go with candy apple red?! I put several coats of paint on to ensure that it would be as smooth looking as possible and covered it in several coats of a clear high gloss for that extra shine. Do you like how it turned out?!!!
